Caltech recognizes that the diversity of background, experience, and thought is essential to achieving and maintaining scientific excellence. To that end, the FUTURE Ignited program is designed to support and encourage aspiring graduate students by providing the opportunity to learn more about graduate programs at Caltech and, more broadly, the graduate school admissions process.

Eligibility: FUTURE Ignited is for students who are interested in pursuing a PhD in the next 1-2 years. This includes rising junior or senior undergraduates and post-baccalaureate students. Students should have an interest in one of the graduate school options at Caltech.

Participants will be expected to attend the October 7th virtual event and encouraged to view resources on writing a statement of purpose; securing strong letters of recommendation; and how graduate school funding works. Participants are also encouraged to attend follow-up DEI networking and academic division events.
